Gallatin Valley Mall is Temporarily Closed

Our top priority is protecting the health and safety of our tenants, customers, and employees. That is why Gallatin Valley Mall will close temporarily on March 18 at 6:00 PM. We must do our part in acting socially responsible to help slow the spread of COVID-19 that is impacting locally as well as globally.

3/18/20: The current tentative re-opening date is April 1.

3/26/20: Gallatin Valley Mall temporary closure is extended until further notice, following Governor Bullock's “stay at home” order statewide, except for essential activities.

We will continue to monitor recommendations from the CDC, state and federal government, and industry leaders. Any further updates will be available on this page.

The shopping and entertainment our tenants provide has been an important part of this community since 1980. GVM brings people together and will continue to do so once we are past the current situation. That ability to attract people is what contributed to the decision to temporarily close our doors.

These are unprecedented times that require unprecedented actions. Once we get through this challenging time, we look forward to reopening our doors to the Bozeman community and beyond.

Gallatin Valley Mall Events Update

As per the Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommendation, all events in common areas have been canceled through approximately April 20. Unfortunately, this does include our beloved tradition of Photos with the Easter Bunny. Although we are saddened by this decision, keeping the children and families of our community safe and healthy is our top priority. Other events will be rescheduled for later dates.

Preventative Measures

GVM has been following the best practices in cleanliness and hygiene as recommend by the CDC and using the hospital-grade cleaning products required by OSHA. We will continue to diligently keep the mall clean and sanitary and have increased the frequency and extent of those cleanings, especially on high-touch surfaces. As a service to our customers, we have also installed additional hand sanitizing stations at the main entrances. GVM will continue to monitor this evolving situation and any changes in guidelines issued by the CDC and local public health authorities.

CDC Recommendations

Amid the global spread of the communicable virus, public health officials from the CDC urges everyone to practice healthy habits including:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

  • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick

  • Stay home if you are sick, except to get medical care.

  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow.

By following the above protocols, we can all take an active role in helping to contain the spread of COVID-19 and work together to maintain a healthy environment for our community.
