Mask Requirement

Per Governor Bullock's directive, face coverings are required in indoor spaces open to the public for those over the age of 5 years, unless medically exempt. This includes the mall common areas and all of our retailers. If you forgot your mask, visit GVM Guest Services for a mask at no charge. Many of our retailers also have masks available for purchase. For more information about the directive, please visit the Gallatin City County Health Department website

Social Distancing Guidelines

We always want our customers to feel welcome, and ordinarily GVM is a gathering place for our community to connect and socialize. We look forward to the time when that is again safe to do, however, we are now prioritizing health and safety by actively encouraging social distancing. To support public health, please maintain a minimum distance of 6 feet from one another while shopping, dining, and waiting in line.

Preventative Measures

  • We have been following the best practices in cleanliness and hygiene as recommended by the CDC and using the hospital-grade cleaning products required by OSHA.
  • We will continue to diligently keep the mall clean and sanitary and have increased the frequency and extent of those cleanings, especially on high-touch surfaces.
  • GVM employees will adhere to safety guidelines, wear face coverings, and frequently wash or otherwise sanitize their hands throughout the workday. Employees who feel sick are asked to stay home.
  • As a service to our customers, we have installed additional hand sanitizing stations at the main entrances. Public restrooms are located in the Food Court and department stores.
  • We are actively encouraging social distancing and face covering guidelines. GVM Security Officers will remind and encourage shoppers to maintain distance from others and can provide masks at no cost to you.
  • Mall seating is reduced and reconfigured to support social distancing.
  • High-interaction areas and activities are temporarily suspended, including the Kids Club, Play Floor, and early-morning Mall Walking program.

GVM will continue to monitor this evolving situation and any changes in guidelines issued by the CDC and local public health authorities. Each individual retailer will do the same for their stores.

CDC Recommendations

Amid the global spread of the communicable virus, public health officials from the CDC urges everyone to practice healthy habits including:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Stay home if you are sick, except to get medical care.
